Customer Service at 630-645-**** are sloppy job not to understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from insurance with adjustment and payment and patient portion. All staff do not believe that adjustment was "discount" because they have to want greedy money from patient.

Over three years, Advocate is hiring staff with Coding and Billing in poor training. Legal will investigate all incidents with billing and conversation on telephone log and mailings. There is never never never solve problems.

They are keeping to say, "you owe me" on error amount on billing. They are ignored letters from AMPS since November 2017 with no contact patient by phone and letter and billing statement if they are continue to sent, they face violation against Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA).

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: need improve to read EOB before mess up or fired staff and pay settlement.

What insurance do you have?It is possible your insurance is not contracted. Many policies will use the ins name, for example, Cigna.

Patients think it is in network. However, the policy you have only means they pay Cigna fee rates and the patient is not eligible for the discount. Look at your card and verify your coverage.

Aetna is also another ins company with this problem. Plans like Cigna Local Plus or Aetna Signature are out of network and discount will not be applied.Also, if you went to the Emergency room, it is your insurance that decides whether it was a medical emergency to have services based on the diagnosis.
